Get Some Attention? $1
The vast majority of people looking on Trade Away will be looking for a bargain. For many, the $1 Reserve section is the first place they will look. All the items in this section have a start price of just $1, and you just never know what you might find!
How to List $1 Reserve
$1 Reserve Auctions are simply that, an auction that has a $1 reserve price. To list your item with a $1 reserve you will need to enter $1 as your start price, and your reserve price. Your reserve must always be higher than your start price. When you list your item just enter $1 in the Reserve field, in the listing process, these items will automatically feature in the $1 Reserve section on the site, until the bid value increases
Once you have listed these, your auction will have the 'Reserve Met' icon (little blue flag) as the reserve is the same price as the start price. Once the reserve has been reached, your item will be selling to the highest bidder!
These are auctions are a great way to attract attention; you can sell any item using this method and see what interest is created. Members can also specifically search for $1 Reserve auctions, there are links in the drop down menu on the home page.
You can list $1 Reserve items with a BuyNow price if you wish, however this will mean that the asking price is a dollar.
Why?
Why would a member list an item this way? One of the possible reasons to list an item this way is so that the market decides what it is prepared to pay for the item. Potentially the market value will prevail and instead of setting a high reserve, sometimes these work better for sellers as they get lots of interest.
Have fun!
