Searching Trade Away
Simply enter a keyword and click the search button to bring up every listing containing your keyword. Using relevant keywords makes your search more specific. Try entering the brand, year, model and/or category of the item you seek. Or search through any of the categories listed on the home page and find what your looking for that way. We also offer the entire list of categories on our Browse page.
If there are any categories you wish to see on Trade Away please let us know. You would be surprised at just how many searches fail simply because we neglect to check our spelling!
Locality
Searches are automatically set to “All WA” but one of the key features of Trade Away is that you can narrow your search down to your nearest Region, Town and Suburb. All W.A. Regions are listed in a drop-down menu next to the search button, to localise your search use this option. But if you're looking for a Lawn mower and only want to look at ones for sale in Duncraig, or near that locality then you can, simply state that in the search bar, and hit search!
Category Browsing
Browsing your favourite categories is quick and easy using the 'Browse' tab above the search bar. All of our main categories have only one level of subcategories, this makes browsing easier for our members.
Watching
If you’d like to keep an eye on an item, click the 'Watchlist' link in the top right hand corner of the listing. This automatically adds this item to your own personal watchlist. Then you can access the listing quickly any time through your “My Account” page where your watched items are recorded.
Email a Friend
At the top of each listing is a little link that says 'Email a Friend'. This function does just that. Click on the link and it allows you to send a link of an item you have interest in to a friend. You can also add your own message. This It is a handy tool if you're on the go and see something you would like to look at later, why not email it to yourself and check it out later!
