Most things on Trade Away are listed via Auction or BuyNow (instant buy), but if you would like to list your items for a Fixed Price/Classified, both methods allow multiple potential buyers to contact you.
Advertise your item using a Fixed Price offer...
We offer Fixed Price listings in all our categories and these are like regular classified ads. Simply select Fixed Price when you list your item, and enter the amount you wish to sell the item for. This is not the same as offering a BuyNow auction.
You can also choose the duration of your fixed price offer either 5 - 7 -14 - 20 - 30- 90 day sales. We charge a fee of 20c, for 5 & 7 day fixed price sales. There is the option to specify and end time for your sale. All listing features are available for a Fixed Price sale, the same as Auctions.
How is a Fixed Price Listing Different?
There is no bidding on Fixed Price listings, the item can be bought instantly. Potential buyers can contact you through the Q & A in the listing and you can arrange for them to view the item if this suits.
All items listed at a Fixed Price will show the little shopping Trolly icon, as shown above. Making it easy for buyers to see what is available for sale.
There are a few categories which only allow Fixed Price listings: Pets, Flat mates/House Share, Jobs, Please note: Pet supplies and accessories can be auctioned and we have also left live stock in the auction process, as we thought this would be a handy option for our farmers, as these animals are auctioned anyway.
No success fees are charged when a Fixed Price item sells. You will be charged our regular Features and Extras fees if you add promotional tools like bold title and gallery image, extra images etc, these are all outlined in the listing process and in our Fees and Fee Calculator page.
We ask members to leave feedback on all trades, buying and selling through Auctions and Fixed Priced sales. Member ratings are a positive way to build a better trading environment for all.
How do I list a Fixed Price ad?
Step 1.Sign in, click on ‘Sell’ and select ‘Fixed price’.
Step 2.Decide which category and sub categories best fit your item.
Step 3.Enter your asking price in the Price field.
Step 4.Complete the other details as required.
Step 5.Your Fixed Price listing fee will be deducted from your Trade Away account.
Lost Pets
It may help to use a Fixed Price Ad to give details of your lost pet. Users can then contact you if they have information on your lost pet. Note: The 'Asking Price' field still has to be filled in, when listing a lost pet. You can enter any amount here - it will not be used as the sale price, as there is nothing for sale. Just make sure you make it clear in your ad!
