Placing Feedback...

Feedback is a vital part of the intergrity of buying and selling on Trade Away. We ask buyers and sellers to rate each other after the total completion of the trade using the following guidelines:

 

 

 It takes two mins!

 

 

Positive +1
The buyer or seller is honest and easily contactable. The goods were accurately described, the sale proceeded smoothly at the agreed price, and you would be happy to deal with that person again. 

 

 

Neutural 0
The sale proceeded but you had problems making contact. The buyer or seller didn’t keep appointments with you, or you had difficulty arranging the pick-up or delivery of the item. Or the sale went ahead but you are not completely happy with the outcome. Perhaps the item was not quite as good as you expected from the description, or the buyer or seller tried to negotiate a different price after the auction. 
 

 

 

Negative -1
The description of the item was inaccurate. Your buyer or seller refused to complete the trade at the agreed selling price, or for some other reason you would not like to deal with them again.  Through no fault of your own, the sale did not proceed at all.

 

 

Your Member Rating is calculated by subtracting your negative feedback from your positive. We then caculate a pertage, which gives you your member rating score. Click here to learn more about Member Ratings. Also to save time, you could cut and paste your previous feedback comments where appropriate.

 Leaving Feedback on Sellers

Once you have completed your purchase we ask you to rate your seller according to the guidelines. It will only take a few minutes and provides future buyers with invaluable information about the reliability and trustworthiness of Trade Away sellers.
 

Go to My Account, in My Purchases, find the transaction and click Add Feedback. Check the box to rate your seller, and click ‘Place Feedback’.
Feedback can be placed up to 30 days after the close of the auction. Click on the ‘Place Feedback’ in your sold and purchase lists, in My Account.


 

If a member gets too much poor feedback he/she may not be able to continue trading on Trade Away.
Consider your decision carefully. Ensure that your feedback is fair. You may not change your feedback.

  

 How to Place Feedback on Buyers

Once you have completed your sale, we ask you to rate your buyer according to the guidelines. It will only take a few minutes and provides future sellers with invaluable information about the reliability and trustworthiness of Trade Away buyers.


Go to My Account, in My Sales, find the transaction and click ‘Place Feedback’. Check the box to rate your buyer, and click ‘Place Feedback’.
The same rules apply for buyers leaving feedback, as for sellers, keep it real!

 

 

 Tips

You can only leave feedback after the auction/sale process has closed, and we also suggest waiting for the full trade to be completed before leaving your feedback. Be fair when assessing a buyer or seller and refrain from using crude or vulgar language.
Remember, they will probably be placing feedback on you too! Be sure to use our point system, and also write a comment, being as specific as possible. There are only 250 characters of space so short and sweet, is the way to go. E.G. "A1 + trader, loved the item and fast delivery, would trade again".
