Stars are a symbol of reliability and excellent trading practice. Everyone on Trade Away should be aiming to get as many stars as humanly possible!
We ask buyers and sellers to rate each other using the following guidelines:

 How Are Member Ratings Calculated?

Feedback ratings are calculated by subtracting negative feedback from positive feedback. A higher feedback rating is given to traders with more positive feedbacks. The number of stars next to a trader’s name represents their feedback rating. The more feedback, the more stars, simple!

Positive  +1

The buyer or seller is honest and easily contactable. The goods were accurately described, the sale proceeded smoothly at the agreed price and you would be happy to deal with that person again.

Neutral  0

The sale proceeded but you had problems making contact, the buyer or seller didn’t keep appointments with you, or you had difficulty arranging the pick-up or delivery of the item. The sale went ahead but you are not completely happy with the outcome. Perhaps the item was not quite as good as you expected from the description, or the buyer or seller tried to negotiate a different price after the auction.

Negative - 1

The description of the item was inaccurate, your buyer or seller refused to complete the trade at the agreed selling price, or for some other reason you would not like to deal with them again. Through no fault of your own, the sale did not proceed at all.

By reviewing a member's feedback you can see what other traders thought of their trading behaviour. It will help you assess whether they are a reliable trader or not. Reviewing a seller's feedback and trading history before bidding is essential and is the best way to protect you as a buyer.
