Problems With Buyers...

We all hear good and bad reports about interaction on the web, but did you know that there are in excess of  8 million trades a day world wide on auctions sites! That seriously suggests there are a lot more positive than negative reviews.

However, as Trade Away is a brand new site with a clean history and all our customers will be WA residents we will of course expect you to be perfect. But in case that is not so, we thought we would offer some advice should the situation arise!

Here are some guidelines to resolve any issues with sellers:

 Possible Senarios
We hope most things will be resolved through good communication.

I think the Top Bid on My Auction is False - If you think that a bid for your item is not genuine, contact us on theteam@tradeaway.com.au and we can remove the top bid from your auction.

My Buyer hasn’t Contacted Me - If you are having problems making contact with the buyer or the buyer does not respond to your e-mails, send several e-mails over the next few days.

Problems Receiving E-mails - If you have problems receiving mail from other members or from Trade Away it may be because your junk filter is diverting mail to junk. If you have not heard from your buyer or seller please check your junk mail carefully.

Ensure that you add the Trade Away e-mail address to your contacts list. Mail from us will be sent from this address: theteam@tradeaway.com.au
If you’ve been unable to make contact within a week, or, if you have made contact, but the buyer is refusing to complete the sale, please post feedback on the site.

Traders who frequently refuse to complete transactions will have their membership suspended or terminated.

My Buyer has Placed Bad Feedback about me - Trade Away will not get involved in disputes between members about feedback. Once feedback has been posted it cannot be changed. Please make sure your feedback is fair. If someone gives you poor feedback it will not affect your trading unless you consistently get poor feedback.

My Buyer is Trying to Negotiate a Lower Price - Through the question and answer facility, buyers are allowed to ask you to add a buy now price to your listing. You may agree to this or refuse. Making arrangements to sell an item outside of the auction, through the question and answer facility, or, trying to negotiate a different price after an auction has closed, is against our Terms and Conditions. These listings will be removed.

The selling price has already been negotiated during the auction and neither the seller nor the buyer should try to negotiate further after the auction. A buyer who repeatedly tries to negotiate a lower price after the auction close will have his/her membership terminated.

My Buyer is Being Abusive - Please report to theteam@tradeaway.com.au and we will take appropriate action. Communitywatch Sheriff  or call us immediately.

The Buyer is Under 18 years old - Trade Away members must be able to form legally binding contracts and therefore must be over 18 years old. Parents may sell items for their children. If you suspect that your seller is under 18, ask if you can deal with his/her parents. If you suspect that a member is under 18,  please contact us through the communitywatch link.

It is always a good idea to review our Terms & Conditions when looking for guidelines.
