Please read the guidelines before you list any item that could possibly breach copy right or Intellectual Property Infringement laws. Make sure you’re legally allowed to sell them and if you’re not sure find out.
Copyright-infringing, Pirated and Counterfeit Items
You must not list items or include any content which breaches any copyright or other intellectual property laws. Replicas and counterfeits are not allowed to be listed on Trade Away.

You must not sell any items that breach any copyright or other intellectual property rights.
E-books and downloadable software
You may not sell any book, information, music or video files that have been downloaded from any website. You may not sell any software or computer programs, or URL or website address that gives the buyer access to download from a website.
Endangered species
Food of any kind
Fireworks of any kind
Frequent flyer points
Hazardous Material of any nature
Human bodies and body parts
Gas
Lottery and raffle tickets
Prescription medications
Weapons, firearms and guns
Recreational drugs/ Pharmaceutical prescription drugs
Uniforms Armed Forces, Police, Nurses, Airline, Doctors, Captain Pilot, Emergency
Services, Security worker, Transport worker
Made to order items - unless they are ray for end of the auction or sale as listing has described them.
Non-prescription medicines and supplements
Original Equipment Manufacturer software - unless you have a license which we may ask to see. Or unless listed with the specified accompanying hardware.
Pets - only sell as fixed price / classified items – They must also be more than 10 weeks old. We advise you take the needed steps to ensure your pet is going to a good home that meets the requirements -
Protected Australian objects
Radio transmitters and other communications devices – Please adhere to the Radio communications Act 1992 for any devices of such kind you wish to list.
Veterinary Medicines
Video CDs
Most video CDs are pirated and therefore they may not be sold.
Books, newspapers and journals
Individuals may sell their second hand books, but if you sell new books you may be deemed a book dealer. If you have a dealer license then that’s fine, but we may request to see this.
Old coins, banknotes and stamps that are no longer legal tender may be sold as collectible items only. You may not sell coins, banknotes or stamps that are in current usage.
Misleading jobs or services, flat/house share/garage sales/wanted items
Used makeup of any kind
Used Clothing can be listed - It must be cleaned and not soiled
Secondhand swimwear or underwear for any age or gender
Surveillance equipment
Tobacco of any kind - or any kind of smoking paraphernalia
Any item that is stolen, or that you are not the rightful owner
Check this list regularly as we may add items, delete them. If you feel we have missed anything that you feel is incorrect let us know.
