Getting Started
All you need to get started, is a working email address, a password, a nickname and be over 18 and of course a resident of Western Australia. You can choose any password you like. All we ask is that it's not too long and without spaces, eg: 'gopossum' is ideal. Other than that, if you've got that covered, here we go!
Click on the 'Join Now' options on the home page, enter your details choose a trading nickname, (this is the name other members will know you by), choose wisely as this cannot be changed. Read our Terms and Conditions and please note: Trade Away is ONLY for Western Australians, and persons over 18 years of age.
After you have registered with Trade Away, you will receive an email from theteam@tradeaway.com.au , welcoming you to the Trade Away community. Click on the link in this email to verify your email address. We suggest adding this email address to your contact list, to avoid junk mail filters blocking our contact with you! If you do not receive your welcome email, please check that your mailbox is not full and also check your junk mail folder.
Keep your 'Sign In' information secure, do not disclose or provide your password or member details to others and remember to logout after using the site.
Full Membership
If you wish to have full access to all Trade Away features you will need to become 'Address Verified’. We offer a secure verification process to show other members that you are a trader, who has confirmed their West Australian address. We do not make your details visible to other members. We advise becoming 'Address Verified' to attain a higher level of trust between traders.
This little home icon 
will also appear next to your member profile to show your address has been verified. Address Verified members can buy/sell items with the BuyNow price option, non verified members cannot purchase or list items in this way, additionally Address Verified members can play Reverse Auctions.
