We offer simple tools to make managing your 'Auctions and 'Fixed Price' sales a breeze, here are some guidelines:
Edit Your Auction
You can edit your listings through your 'My Account' simply click on 'My Listings' and click the 'Edit' button next to the listing and make your changes. Auctions can only be edited if no bids have been placed. Fixed Price/Classifieds can be edited within the first seven days.
Promote your Listing
By increasing the profile of your listings on Trade Away you can potentially increase the number of people that look at your stuff and maybe even get more bids. We offer a number of promotional features you can select:
Bold Headline - The title of bold listings appears in "bold" type.
Gallery Image - On Gallery listings the photo appears on the left hand side of your listing whenever it appears on the site. Gallery listings show in the Gallery view which allows people to browse by photo. Gallery auctions get 80% more bids than other auctions.
Feature on Home Page - Home Page Feature auctions appear on the homepage in the order that they are closing. Trade Away reserves the right to remove items off the homepage at its sole discretion.
Feature on Subcategory Home Page - A Subcategory Home Page Feature places your listing in the homepage of the subcategories of your item listing choice, these are also displayed in your given category.
Combo Feature - A Combo Feature places your listing on the Subcategory Home Page Feature, adds a Gallery Image and Bold Headline
You can select any of these promotional features when you're placing a listing. View our fees page to see the costs associated with the various promotional features.
Answering questions
If a buyer has any questions about an auction, they can use the Question and Answer feature at the bottom of an auction. The seller will be sent an email notifying them that a question has been asked. The seller can either answer questions when they come in via the link in the question email, (if they're signed in ) or go to the item listing and answer questions.
We advise answering questions as quickly as possible. It is completely optional for a seller to reveal their reserve price to bidders, (do not feel obligated to reveal your reserve price.)
Use the Q&A to spell out your intentions: e.g: 'No sorry, happy to let the Auction process run, best of luck with you bidding' .Sellers are also able to add additional information about their items using the Question and Answer feature, during the auction.
Withdrawing An Auction
You can withdraw your listing from the 'My Listings' in my account free of charge, but only if a buyer has not placed a bid. Once you've removed a listing it cannot be recovered. If you require that we assit withdrawing an auction on your behalf, you will be required to provide a reason for doing so. You can not withdraw an auction within the final hour of an auction.
If you have made a mistake in your listing, you can edit, but again only until a buyer has made a bid. Note: There is no fee for withdrawing a 'Fixed Price/Classified' listings.
Relist Your Item
Go to your My Account' and look under 'My Sold' and 'My Unsold' for both Auctions and Fixed Price listings, simply click on 'Relist', decide on any changes you want to make, if any, and enter them. This function automatically re-loads your description and images saving you lots of time. This function is FREE.
